‘Love Jihad’ encouraged on Amazon’s e-book store ‘Kindle’

Obscene matter on relationships between Hindu women and Muslim men on Kindle; content hurts religious sentiments.

Amazon has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus in various ways in the past and continues to do so. When Hindus protest, Amazon apologises and removes things from its website. However, Amazon’s Hinduphobia has not changed. To drive home the point, the Central Government should ban Amazon from operating in India; Hindus too should persuade the Government.

New Delhi – On Amazon’s Online book store ‘Kindle’, many obscene books on illicit relationships between Muslim men and Hindu women are available. This news has been posted by a news website ‘Swarajyamag.com’.

‘Indian Hindu wife’s affair with her Muslim lover’ is one such book, which is available with the unlimited subscription of Kindle. The cover of this 35-page book, written by Nilima Stevens, shows a Muslim man and a bindi-wearing (Hindu) woman. Nilima describes in a vulgar manner the sexual relations between a married Hindu woman and her Muslim friend Razia’s husband Ashraf. Besides the vulgarity, Nilima also says that the pure vegetarian Hindu woman has started eating meat under Ashraf’s influence. Nilima has over 20 similar books on Kindle.

Amazon removes obnoxious title after NCW notice

After a Twitter user alleged that Amazon’s Kindle contains e-books on porn literature and even rape fantasies, the National Commission for Women wrote to Amazon India to stop the transmission of content which promotes crime against women. NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma wrote after taking suo motu cognisance of a Twitter post.

In a tweet, journalist Swati Goel Sharma wrote, “Amazon’s Kindle is full of e-books on porn literature & even rape fantasies of Muslim men & Hindu women. With titles like ‘Hindu wife’s affair with Muslim lover’, covers showing skull cap-wearing men & bindi-wearing women, scores of books by dozens of authors”.
