An illegally built three-storey mazar demolished in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh)

Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) – A three-storey mazar built on Government land through encroachment was demolished by the administration using bulldozers. Despite repeated notices, the illegal structure was not removed, following which it was finally demolished. (The cost of this demolition should be recovered from those responsible, and the encroachers should also be imprisoned ! – Editor.) Adequate police security was deployed during the demolition. (Why is police security necessary ? Who opposes the demolition of illegal structures ? Cases should be registered against such persons and they should be imprisoned ! – Editor.)

According to the administration, the construction began as a small structure in 2001. Over the years, the surrounding Government land was also encroached upon. Within 25 years, the structure had expanded into a three-storey building. The land is valued at ₹1.5 crore.
