Navi Mumbai, 26 June – Following a report published in Dainik Sanatan Prabhat on 24 June highlighting the poor condition of the pavements near Turbhe Railway Station, the Municipal Corporation’s Engineering Department has begun repair work on the damaged pavements. The pavements had deteriorated at several places, with many of the paving tiles having come loose. At some locations, the exposed sharp edges of the tiles were causing serious injuries to pedestrians. Citizens had expressed anger over the negligence of the Municipal Corporation and local elected representatives. Now that repair work on the pavements and paving tiles has begun, the situation is expected to improve.
