Four soldiers and six terrorists killed in terrorist attack in Pakistan

Terrorist organisation Jamaat-ul-Ahrar claims responsibility for the attack

Karachi (Pakistan) – The headquarters of the Sindh Rangers came under attack on the night of 27 June. In the ensuing gun battle, six terrorists were killed, while one was captured alive. Four soldiers were also killed in the attack. The exchange of fire continued for nearly one-and-a-half hours.

The attack is being described as the first major terrorist attack in Karachi since October 2024. It was carried out by terrorists belonging to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, an organisation linked to the terrorist group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The attackers first rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the main entrance to breach the compound and then hurled hand grenades while opening indiscriminate fire.

Editorial Perspective

Pakistan has long been sponsoring terrorist activities in India. Seeing Pakistan itself come under terrorist attack gives the impression that it is now facing the consequences of its own karmas.
