Five accused in Shri Ram Temple donation theft found to be living in close proximity

Police investigating whether the theft was the result of a planned conspiracy

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – Police have registered a case against eight persons and arrested them in connection with the theft of donation money from the Shri Ram Temple. Raids have been conducted at their residences, and the investigation is underway.

It has come to light that five of the eight accused either live very close to one another or are related. Their houses are located within a distance of just 100 to 200 metres from each other. Police are investigating whether the accused already knew one another and whether the theft was deliberately carried out as part of a pre-planned conspiracy.

1. The house of accused Lavkush Mishra is located directly behind that of accused Avinash Shukla. In other words, the two houses are only a few steps apart.

2. The house of accused Anukalp Mishra is also located about 200 metres away. Notably, he had purchased the house around two years ago. All three houses are situated in Kaushalpuri Colony.

3. Moreover, the houses of accused Manish Yadav and Tinnu Yadav are adjacent to each other.

4. These facts further strengthen the suspicion that the theft was not a spontaneous act but may have been planned well in advance. Police are investigating whether the five accused had been in contact with one another beforehand, whether they were part of a particular group, and whether they had jointly planned the method of stealing the temple donations.

5. To establish the full picture of the alleged conspiracy, police are now examining the accused persons’ mobile phone location data, their communications with one another, and their previous associations.
