Thane, Maharashtra – Muslim women gathered in large numbers and staged a protest at the Bazaar Peth Police Station in Kalyan against the alleged controversial remarks made by YouTuber Nazia Elahi Khan. During the protest, some of the women raised the provocative slogan, “Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda” (“There is only one punishment for insulting Prophet Muhammad – beheading”). A video of the incident has been circulated on social media. (Religious fanatic women dare to raise such slogans even inside a Police Station only because they have no fear of the law ! – Editor)
While the slogans were being raised, Police personnel were deployed at the Police Station for security. However, based on the circulated video, citizens have alleged that the Police present at the scene neither immediately stopped the women nor took action against them. (What could be more unfortunate than this ? Such Police personnel should be dismissed ! – Editor)
Following a complaint lodged by BJP worker Shifa Pawale, the Police have registered a case against YouTuber Nazia Elahi Khan. Further investigation is underway.
