Love and Jihad do not go hand in hand! – Nusrat Jahan, TMC MP and Actress

It would have been a good thing, had the situation been what Nusrat Jahan feels; however, she should educate herself on the matter of fact.

Kolkata (Bengal) – Trinamool Congress MP and an actress, Nusrat Jahan, said that love is a personal matter and ‘love’ and ‘jihad’ can never go hand in hand. People come up with such topics just before the elections. It is your personal choice who you wish to live with. Be in love and start falling in love with each other. Do not make religion a political tool, she added.

 Nusrat Jahan expressed her point of view regarding the ‘love jihad’ debate which has surfaced in Bengal on the backdrop of Assembly elections that are due in 2021. She was speaking in a press conference held in the Party office. Nusrat Jahan is married to a Hindu man. BJP had declared that it will pass a law against ‘love jihad’ if voted to power.
