Claims of finding unaccounted for ₹ 50 lakhs in the raid
So far raids have been conducted on the homes of corrupt leaders, administrative officials and businessmen; but harsh punishment or imprisonment has never been heard of. Is this not a system failure ?
Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The Central Bureau of Investigation conducted raids on 5th October at 9 places in Karnataka, 1 in Mumbai and 4 in Delhi, of Karnataka Congress state president D.K Shivakumar and his brother MP D.K Suresh. Raids were conducted against Shivkumar on charges of corruption. The CBI also raided and searched the house of Bangalore Rural MP D.K Suresh. Criticising the move, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah said that the BJP has always been doing politics of revenge and trying to divert public attention.
This is another attempt to dull our by-election preparations. I strongly condemn this.
.@BJP4India has always tried to indulge in vindictive politics & mislead public attention.
The latest CBI raid on @KPCCPresident @DKShivakumar's house is another attempt to derail our preparation for bypolls.
I strongly condemn this.
