Clashes break out in Pulwama (Kashmir) after Police deny Friday prayers

People who openly violate the lockdown, endanger the health of their families, as well as themselves, should be imprisoned.

Pulwama (J&K) – Even in the lockdown, people gathered here on the road in a large number to offer Namaz on 15th May. The Police tried to stop them explaining the reason of the lockdown. At that time, stones were hurled at the Police by the religious fanatics. The Police used tear gas to disperse them. Earlier, in April, people gathered for prayers in Jama Masjid in Kasba Yaar Drabgam area. The Police tried to convince them but the religious fanatics assaulted the Policemen.
