Dhaka, Bangladesh – The United States has implemented a significant 37% trade tariff on imports from Bangladesh. In response, Bangladesh has announced that it is currently evaluating the tariffs on goods imported from the US. The National Board of Revenue of Bangladesh is actively exploring alternative measures to address this development. The United States is one of our closest allies and the largest market for our exports. We are actively engaging with the US government to resolve this matter.

For China, the US is its largest trading partner. China’s Ministry of Commerce has said that many trading partners are unhappy with this decision. The US should lift the tariffs. China will take strong measures to protect its own interests.
