Three cases of ‘Love Jihad’ reported across India in the past 24 hours

Cases reported in Faridabad (Haryana), Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh) and Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh)

Faridabad (Haryana): A Hindu woman has accused a man named Arif of introducing himself under the false identity of “Veer”, raping her and marrying her. It later emerged that Arif is the father of three children. ‘Goraksha Bajrang Dal’ leader Bittu Bajrangi was also present with the victim when she lodged her complaint with the police.

Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh): A married Hindu woman left her husband and began living with her non-Hindu lover along with her eight-year-old son. There is discussion in the village that she is being pressured to convert. Police are investigating the matter following a complaint filed by her husband.

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): Sameer Khan allegedly lured a Hindu girl through social media. He established physical relations with her, recorded private videos and then allegedly threatened to circulate them while demanding money and pressuring her to embrace Islam. A case was registered after the victim filed a complaint with the assistance of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).

Muslim man kills Hindu youth in Karnavati (Gujarat)

Karnavati (Gujarat): Shaqib Salim Shaikh allegedly stabbed Jayshankar to death in the Pattharkuva area on Relief Road following a minor dispute over money. Shaqib, who fled after the incident, was arrested by the police within a few hours.
