Bangladeshi infiltrators who disembarked from the Howrah Express.

Mysuru (Karnataka) – More than 40 Bangladeshi infiltrators who arrived at the Mysuru railway station aboard the Howrah Express were taken into custody by the Railway Police and local police. The action was taken based on information provided by activists of the Hindu Jagaran Vedike, who became suspicious after observing their movements at the station.

All of them had arrived together in Mysuru on the weekly Howrah Express from Kolkata. Although most possessed Aadhaar cards and other documents bearing addresses in West Bengal, there is suspicion that many of these documents are forged.

During detailed questioning, each person gave different and contradictory statements. Some said they had come to nearby areas of Mysuru in search of work as labourers, while others attempted to portray themselves as tourists. According to the police investigation, they had arrived with a larger plan to obtain illegal employment in coffee plantations and other factories in Kodagu district and various parts of neighbouring Kerala after reaching Mysuru.

Commenting on the issue, former BJP MLA L. Nagendra said that Bangladeshi infiltrators have been arriving in Mysuru from Bengal every Sunday. Since the BJP came to power in Bengal, infiltrators have been migrating to other States. The Government should keep a strict watch on them. Home Minister Priyank Kharge is doing nothing except pursuing issues relating to the RSS. If riots break out in the State tomorrow, the State Government will be directly responsible. Immediate action should be taken to stop the infiltrators.
