If 250 million Muslims in India unite, they can break India into pieces ! : Bangladesh BNP Leader

Provocative statement of Altab Hossain Molla, a leader of the Ruling Party in Bangladesh

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Amid the atmosphere of instability created after the change of power in Bangladesh, leaders there are now openly spewing venom against India. A highly provocative video of Altab Hossain Molla, a leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), is being circulated on social media. In it, he has incited Indian Muslims to break India into pieces.

While addressing a gathering, he stated, ‘If 200 to 250 million Muslims in India unite, they can break India into pieces, and they will soon adopt this path’.

Strong outrage in India

After this video surfaced, a wave of anger spread across India. Many defence experts and political analysts described it as a direct threat to the sovereignty of India. Many have demanded that the Union Government and the Ministry of External Affairs lodge a strong protest with the Bangladesh Government regarding this matter.

Editorial Perspective

  • While the newly elected Bangladesh Nationalist Party Government is trying to maintain relations with India, it is simultaneously displaying its anti-India Jihadi mindset. This clearly shows that Bangladesh cannot be trusted.
  • Bangladesh is facing difficulties due to the Iran war, and India is helping it by supplying diesel; Indian establishments are supplying electricity to it; and the water of the Ganga River flows to Bangladesh from India itself. Considering all this, it is necessary for India to take steps immediately to keep Bangladesh under control.
