
Ulwe (Maharashtra) – Police in Navi Mumbai have arrested a person identified as Mohammad Ansari for allegedly making objectionable remarks about Hindu Deities in the Sadguru Chowk area of Ulwe. Ansari was reportedly selling vegetables in the area without authorisation. According to reports, a Hindu youth had gone to purchase vegetables from him when Ansari allegedly made offensive remarks about Deities. The youth recorded a video of the incident.

The vigilant youth submitted the video to the Ulwe Police Station, following which Police arrested Ansari. He was produced before a court, which remanded him to two days of Police custody.
Residents have expressed concern that unauthorised vegetable vendors are increasing in Ulwe, and discussions are ongoing about a rise in radical tendencies among some individuals. Citizens have demanded strict action against such unauthorised vendors, stating that they may pose a threat.
