Reasons why seekers, other than Sanatan’s seekers, who obtain subtle knowledge are very few on Earth

Satchidananda Parabrahma Dr. Athwale

Question

Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale : How many seekers are there on Earth who obtain subtle knowledge similar to Sanatan’s seekers – Ms Madhura Bhosale,
Mr Nishad Deshmukh and Mr Ram Honap ? If they are not many, what is the reason for this ?

Answer – Shri Ram Honap

1. There are 100 other seekers on Earth who obtain subtle knowledge like Sanatan’s seekers. The reasons for this number being very low are as follows.

Mr Ram Honap

1A. In Kaliyug, performing spiritual practice according to Jnanyoga is difficult : Due to the adverse times and distress caused by negative energies prevailing in Kaliyug, performing spiritual practice for God-realisation is difficult. Under such circumstances, it is easier for seekers to perform spiritual practice according to Karmayoga and Bhaktiyoga; however, performing spiritual practice according to Jnanyoga is difficult and rare.

Obtaining subtle knowledge is a spiritual practice according to Jnanyoga. For this, the seeker should have subtle perception ability to understand Divine knowledge and express it in words. Because of Kaliyug, seekers possessing this ability are very few on Earth. Therefore, the number of seekers obtaining subtle knowledge is limited.

1B. The number of seekers performing nishkam spiritual practice is low : To obtain knowledge from the subtle dimension, it is important that the seeker be nishkam (Have no expectations) and perform this satseva with the attitude that obtaining subtle knowledge is Guru’s seva. Only such a seeker obtains God’s grace and becomes capable of obtaining knowledge from the subtle dimension. For such an attitude of satseva to develop in a seeker and remain sustained is difficult; because in Kaliyug, the desire to obtain wealth and fame through subtle knowledge can easily arise in the seeker’s mind.

1C. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale gives importance to obtaining subtle spiritual knowledge, and Gurus who get this mission performed through disciples are very few : Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has understood the importance of the knowledge in Sanatan Dharma. At present, inquisitive people and seekers often have questions such as ‘Why does Spirituality say so ? What is the spiritual reasoning in a particular subject ?’ Answers to such questions are not available in other Texts. If appropriate answers are obtained, the sadhana of inquisitive people as well as seekers will improve further, and their bhav (Spiritual emotion) and faith unto God will increase.

Therefore, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale puts questions on various spiritual subjects to seekers who obtain subtle knowledge. Due to the Guru’s grace, these seekers obtain the answers to these questions from the subtle dimension.

The knowledge-related mission of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale is being carried out according to the significance of times and with foresight. Because of the spiritual strength in Him, seekers who obtain subtle knowledge get proper direction in the process of obtaining this knowledge. Such Gurus who perform this extraordinary work are very few on Earth. As a result, the process of moulding seekers who obtain subtle knowledge has become rare.

What is meant by ‘Subtle’ ?

The nirgun (Non-materialised) form of God described in the Upanishads is beyond the comprehension of the mind and intellect. Despite this, the intellect of one who reads about, hears or narrates the physical form of God becomes pure due to his faith and devotion, and he gets the knowledge of God’s subtle form or obtains its spiritual experience.

The gross (physical) aspects of an individual are the five sense organs – the nose, ears, eyes, tongue and skin. These five senses, beyond the mind and intellect, are ‘subtle’. ‘Subtle’ vibrations are felt by some people who have progressed spiritually. Various Scriptures contain reference to subtle knowledge.

  • Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published here are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences. – Editor

Subtle World

Seeing, hearing in the subtle, etc. (Receiving knowledge through the five subtle sense organs) : The subtle vision of some seekers is awakened; meaning, they can perceive what the physical eyes cannot see; some seekers can hear sounds or words in the subtle.
