Purnia (Bihar) – “Our ancestors made a major mistake during Partition, and the country is paying the price for it even today. If during the 1947 Partition, all Muslims had gone to Pakistan and Hindus had been brought to India, the present situation would not have arisen. Leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi would not have emerged,” said Union Minister Giriraj Singh. The statement was made in the context of discussions surrounding the Citizenship Amendment Act. Speaking in support of the Act, Minister Giriraj Singh commented on the citizenship of people residing in India and raised questions about decisions made during Partition.
(The Minister has spoken the truth. The Partition of India took place based on religion, and Muslims were given Pakistan. Those who did not go to Pakistan but remained in India are the very reason why a major problem has arisen in the country. If Muslims in India had gone to Pakistan, there would have been no Places of Worship Act or Waqf Board Act. There would have been no Jihads such as Love Jihad, Land Jihad, or Spit Jihad. There would have been no attacks on Hindu religious processions, no riots in the country, and the taxes paid by Hindus would not have been spent on Muslims. The call to prayer from mosques five times a day would not have been heard, the burden of population would not have increased, etc. – Editor)
