Iranian President sets 3 conditions to stop the war

New Delhi – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has set 3 conditions to stop the war that has been going on for the past 13 days between the US, Israel and Iran. He posted on ‘X’ that accepting Iran’s conditions is the only way to stop this war. These include ‘recognizing Iran’s sovereign rights at the international level, paying appropriate financial or diplomatic compensation for the losses suffered in the war, and providing a solid security guarantee by the international community that Iran will not be attacked in the future.’

Although the President has set such conditions, it is unknown if the Iranian army agrees to this. It is not clear. A few days ago, Pezeshkian had earlier announced that Iran would not attack neighbouring countries; however, Pezeshkian had to give clarification when the army rejected this declaration and continued the attack.

Iran denies claims that the Strait of Hormuz is opened for Indian ships

Iran has denied the claims that the Indian ships have been permitted to travel through the Strait of Hormuz. ‘Oil tankers carrying the Indian flag were not allowed to use the Strait of Hormuz,’ a report has been published by ‘Reuters’ through Iranian sources. It was earlier reported that ‘After the conversation between Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Iran allowed Indian ships to travel through the Strait of Hormuz.’ It was claimed that this important sea route for the transport of crude oil and natural gas has been opened for India; but now Iran has rejected this claim. So far, only Chinese oil tankers have been allowed to pass through this strait.

Iran has put a condition to all the countries that ‘If a country expels the Israeli ambassador, that country will be allowed to use the Strait of Hormuz.’ There is no reaction from India on Iran’s latest statement. Earlier, Indian sources had claimed that Indian tankers ‘Pushpak’ and ‘Parimal’ are safely traveling through Hormuz.

Ships will have to take our permission to pass through Hormuz : Iran

On the other hand, Iran’s ‘Revolutionary Guard’ warned that all ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz will now have to take Iran’s permission. The Thai ship was attacked because it did not take permission.

Thousands of ships have been stranded due to the closure of Hormuz. This includes 37 ships with Indian flags. They have 1,109 sailors onboard.

Oil tanker from Saudi Arabia reaches Mumbai

A Liberian-flagged oil tanker carrying crude oil from Saudi Arabia has successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz and reached Mumbai. The captain of this ship was Indian. Traffic in Hormuz has been disrupted due to the war. This is the first ship to reach India during war period.

Thai ship travelling to India attacked in Hormuz

A Thai merchant ship ‘Mayuri Naree’, which was heading to Kandla port in Gujarat, India, was attacked in Hormuz. This caused a fire in its engine room. There were 23 crew members onboard. After the attack, the Omani Navy rescued 20 crew members and took them to Khasab city, while 3 sailors are still missing.

Iran’s drone attack on Oman’s oil storage

Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov has reacted strongly to the claim that the US Trump administration has given India permission to buy oil from Russia. He said in clear terms that India does not need anyone’s permission for this.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant had claimed that the US Treasury Department has given Indian oil refineries a 30-day grace period to buy oil from Russia.
