Tension due to dispute between Hindus and Muslims

Mumbai – On the morning of January 26th, in the Nityanandnagar area of Ghatkopar, children took out a procession outside their homes carrying the national flag. At that time, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogans were chanted. Reportedly, a Muslim man assaulted these children. A video has been circulated showing a large-scale argument and a fierce fight at this place. People carrying sticks in their hands are also seen in this video. There was tension in the area on January 26th due to this incident.

“It is unfortunate that the Police were inactive while a fight was going on at this place and Muslims were threatening,” said BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. It is said that the Police subsequently reached the spot and took action.
