Tension due to dispute between Hindus and Muslims

Mumbai – On the morning of January 26^th, in the Nityanandnagar area of Ghatkopar, children took out a procession outside their homes carrying the national flag. At that time, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogans were chanted. Reportedly, a Muslim man assaulted these children. A video has been circulated showing a large-scale argument and a fierce fight at this place. People carrying sticks in their hands are also seen in this video. There was tension in the area on January 26^th due to this incident.

“It is unfortunate that the Police were inactive while a fight was going on at this place and Muslims were threatening,” said BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. It is said that the Police subsequently reached the spot and took action.
