Reaction of Muslim litigant Iqbal Ansari to the incident of a Muslim offering namaz inside the Shriram temple

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – Abu Ahmed Sheikh from Jammu and Kashmir entered the Shriram temple, offered namaz and raised slogans of ‘Allahu Akbar’ (‘Allah is great’). The incident has drawn widespread condemnation. Muslim litigant in the Shriram Janmabhoomi case, Iqbal Ansari, also reacted to the incident.
He said that any obstruction or interference in prayers inside a temple is illegal. He questioned how and from where the Kashmiri youth reached the temple. Why did he feel the need to offer namaz inside the Ram temple ? Legal action should be taken against those responsible for this act, he added.
Ansari further stated that Ayodhya is a religious city and a place of faith for people of all religions. (Ayodhya is a place of faith only for Hindus ! At the very least, devout Hindu political leaders in Uttar Pradesh should have strongly objected to Ansari’s baseless statement. – Editor) Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians live here in harmony. Separate places of worship are available for every religion. The Ram temple has now been built, and people from across the country, including Muslims, have respected the temple.
