India slams China and Pakistan

New Delhi – India never recognised ‘the 1963 China-Pakistan Boundary Agreement’. This Agreement is totally illegal, invalid and unacceptable to us, affirmed Randhir Jaiswal, the spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). He further stated that we don’t recognise even ‘the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)’. This highway passes through Indian territory, unofficially controlled by Pakistan. Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh are union territories of India and they are integral and unalienable parts of India. This issue has been explained to Pakistani and Chinese officers on number of occasions. India has registered its protest with China for trying to change the reality in Shaksgam valley.
On 04.01.2026, China and Pakistan declared the second phase of CPEC entailing progress in the prevailing economic and war-strategic expansion between these two countries. The highway passes through Shaksgam Valley and will further strengthen the control of China and Pakistan on the Northern border of India. It is dangerous for India as this region is strategically very important for India and very close to Siachen.
Editorial PerspectiveJust saying is not enough. It has now become inevitable to take action and get control over the entire region. |
