Jaipur (Rajasthan) – A serious case of illegal conversion has come to light in the bordering Shrikaranpur area of the state. A German Christian couple was running a church secretly in a newly built rented house near the Shri Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara here. They forced poor Hindus to accept Christianity by offering financial and other inducements. In this case, the police have arrested 6 people, including the German Christian couple.

1. As soon as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists got information about the conversion, they reached the spot. Police took immediate action by arresting German Swan Boz Bet Zeller and Sandra, his wife, along with Santosh Varghese, Mathew, Baljinder Singh Khosa and Rajesh Kamboj alias Popi.

2. According to the police, Srikaranpur happened to be a sensitive area along the India-Pakistan border. The German couple entered that area without seeking permission and secretly started a religious conversion programme. That created the possibility of inflaming/triggering religious sentiments in the area.

3. The VHP filed a complaint at the police station alleging illegal religious conversion. Many of their activists, including Shyam Singh Rajpurohit and Chirag Ashok Joshi, participated in that protest.

4. The German couple had rented the house of the family of Jogendra Singh Petivale. The couple started a church in that house. Even the residents of the lane did not realise that. Later, many people started paying frequent visits to that house, which made the residents nearby suspicious about the happenings there.

5. In the last 3 months, 4 cases of Christian conversion have come to light in the border areas of Rajasthan.

6. It has come to light that Christian missionary organisations are converting poor Hindus using foreign funds through some NGOs.

7. The border areas are being targeted so that these people can be used in anti-India activities in the future. The police are conducting further investigations in this case.

    they deserve severe punishment.
  • Why is the police not getting such information about the attack on Hindus, irrespective of having all
