Bhagawadgeeta shows path of life ! – Retired Justice H. Billappa

Retired Justice of Karnataka High Court, H. Billappa who inaugurated the seminar, said that during  the freedom struggle, Aurobindo Ghosh, Swami Vivekananda, Subhas Chandra Bose etc. were influenced by the Bhagawadgeeta, which gave them Atma Shakti (inner strength). The great scientist Einstein has also mentioned about the effects of Bhagawadgeeta on society. He said that the purpose of Bhagawadgeeta is to show the way of life.

This is not the right forum for discussion ! – Prof. A. L. Manjunath, Registrar.

Registrar of Manjunath University, Prof. A.L. Manjunath said that the Chaturvarna system is mentioned in the Bhagawadgeeta. This is the reason why there are protests outside today. People of Dalit Sangharsh Samiti are protesting outside. I want to invite them in; but this is not the right platform. We will provide a separate platform for them. Politicians are misappropriating this, he said.

If I get such an opportunity in the future, I will definitely accept it; but it should be in the form of a discussion.Today, people speak with labels (ideology); but we should only talk about thoughts. He also added that Dr. Ambedkar had some doubts about the Bhagawadgeeta.
