Indian Army inaugurates ‘Monorail’ operating at height of 16,000 feet in Arunachal Pradesh

  • This is the project of ‘Gajraj Corps’ of the Armed Forces

  • This makes it easy to give support aid in mountainous area

Arunachal Pradesh – In a significant demonstration of innovation in extreme terrain, the Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps has developed an in-house High Altitude Monorail System to support operations at 16,000 feet in the Kameng Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh. This will enable to deliver fast the essential items necessary for the soldiers.

This will reduce the time and effort of the soldiers and reduce the dangers as well

This new system of the Indian Army is helping to keep a steady supply system in the Kameng Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh, where roads and transport facilities are not there. Narrow hill roads, loose rocks and unpredictable weather conditions, low oxygen levels, made travelling short distance feel long and difficult. Many a time the soldiers had to transport essential items on their backs. This used to take a toll on time and labour of the soldiers. Now the Monorail will reduce the time and labour as well the dangers encountered by the transporters.
