Case of alleged insulting remarks against a Lingayat organisation’s Swamiji

Dharwad (Karnataka) – The administration has imposed a ban on the entry of Pujya Adrushya Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji of Kaneri Math into Dharwad district after he allegedly made insulting remarks about a Lingayat organisation’s Swamiji. Earlier, Swamiji had already been barred from entering Vijayapura and Bagalkot districts for the same reason.

Pujya Adrushya Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji was scheduled to attend an event at Annigeri in Dharwad on 7 November. However, leaders of the Jagatik Lingayat Mahasabha objected and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector. Following this, District Collector Divyaprabhu issued an order prohibiting Swamiji’s entry into Dharwad.
