Punjab Police seize 2.5 kilograms of RDX

Jalandhar (Punjab) – Recently, two Khalistani terrorists were caught with 2.5 kilograms of RDX in Jalandhar. Earlier, on 25 th August, 2 kg of RDX was seized in Batala, and on 7 th August, a bomb was recovered in Tarn Taran district.

1. Since August, three bombs and large quantities of RDX have been seized across Punjab. So far, 17 hand grenades have been recovered in the State. Between December 2024 and February 2025, hand grenades were thrown at a Police Station, the house of a BJP leader, and the residence of a liquor trader.

2. In the last 40 days, Punjab Police have seized 96 pistols. Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI aims to supply these weapons to terrorists of the Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa, so they can carry out targeted killings and recreate the atmosphere of terror that existed in the 1980s.

If 2.5 kg of RDX has been seized, one must wonder — how much more remains unseized ? And if these explosives are later used in acts of terror, who will be held responsible ?
