Moscow (Russia) – On the issue of US imposing an additional 25 per cent import duty on India for buying oil from Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that; India and China will not at all get affected by threat of increasing import duty by U.S.A. They will bow down to threats by U.S.A. Pressure tactics by U.S.A. will not  succeed and the US sanctions will not have any impact on Russia. He was speaking at Russia’s ‘The Great Game’ programme.

The US demand that China and India have to stop buying oil from Russia is unjustified. The United States is pressuring both countries to meet that demand; but it won’t have any effect,” Lavrov said.
