September 11th was the 75th birthday of Param Pujya Sarsanghachalak Dr Mohanji Bhagwat. On that occasion …

The President has the highest power in India, followed by the Prime Minister. The limits of the powers of President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are clearly defined; but there is one person whose limits of powers are not defined. He lives like a common man, that is the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Param Pujya Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat. The head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Param Pujya Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat, has turned 75 on September 11th. This is the same Dr. Bhagwat, who brought India from the era of the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to the era of Narendra Modi. In 2014, Dr. Bhagwat rejected all the proposals for the post of Prime Minister and finally Modi became the Prime Minister.

1. Leading the work of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on a broad scale
When Param Pujya Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat became the head of the Sangh, the situation of the BJP was very bad. The Saraswati Shishu Mandir schools of the Sangh were outdated, while the dominance of the communists over the farmers’ organizations was increasing. Param Pujya Dr. Bhagwat was the first Sangh chief who saw political compromises closely. He was not a supporter of the leaders joining the BJP from the Congress; but he did not declare his opposition either. On the contrary, when Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the BJP, he made a statement saying, ‘Welcome back home’.
Param Pujya Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat led the Sangh to give importance to English in its schools. Dr. Bhagwat also recognized the importance of publicity. Many of his speeches are in English, which are easily accessible today. This helped his thoughts reach foreign countries. Today, the Sangh has become as widespread as it has never been before. Today, the Sangh’s organizations are doing a great job in all three categories – women, farmers and students.
2. Param Pujya Sarsanghachalak Dr. Bhagwat himself is a benchmark

BJP is stronger than ever before. The credit for this certainly goes to Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah; but Param Pujya Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat cannot be ignored. You can criticize some of his statements; but the role he has played as a ‘king maker’ is undeniable.
It would not be right to compare him with the founders of the Sangh, Dr. Hedgewar and Pujya Golwalkar Guruji because Param Pujya Dr. Bhagwat himself has become a benchmark. No chapter in the history of the Sangh would be complete without his mention, and he is the first Sarsanghachalak, who has continued to work in the post even after completing 75 years.

Today, India stands at par with the world powers. The credit for this goes to the leadership and the person who created that leadership. The future of the country will always be grateful to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Param Pujya Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat for giving the country a leader like Narendra Modi. May Param Pujya Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat live long, and may his guidance always be available for the country, this is my best wish.
