Names of 2 Pakistani women, living illegally in Bihar for 69 years, found in the voter list !

Patliputra (Bihar) – The names of two Pakistani women, Imrana Khanam and Firdausia Khanam from Bhagalpur, have been found in the voter list. These women were also found to possess Aadhaar cards.

In 1956, Imrana entered India on a 3-year visa, while in the same year Firdausia entered on a 3-month visa (an official document permitting entry into or travel through a country). This came to light during a re-verification of voter names.

Following the orders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the process of removing their names from the voter list has been initiated. Earlier this April, after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the central government had ordered Pakistani nationals to leave the country.

“Even after such orders, the discovery of Pakistani citizens living illegally in India has raised serious concerns about national security,” people remarked.

1. According to officials, both these Pakistani women did not renew their visas and continued to stay in India illegally.

2. It has also come to light that Imrana Khanam held a government job, leading to a deeper investigation into the matter.

3. An inquiry is also underway to determine when the names of these two women have been included in the voter list and from when they have been casting votes.

Editorial Perspectives

  • For the past 69 years, Pakistani women have been residing illegally in India, and the administration had no knowledge of it — a matter of outrage ! This is a glaring example of the administration’s negligence and incompetence.
  • For 69 years, these two women from an enemy country have been availing Indian facilities and even casting votes to decide India’s future. This is shameful for the nation ! Strict action must be taken against the responsible officials in the administration.
