Stone-pelting at Police vehicle in Dharavi; Case registered

Mumbai – An accused pelted stones at a Police vehicle leading to shattering of its window. The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. in the Dharavi area. A case has been registered against the accused, Karan Jadhav, and he is currently absconding.

Police had received information that Jadhav had assaulted three individuals over an issue related to providing them with shaving blades. The complainant in that matter was being transported to the Police station in a Police vehicle when Jadhav carried out the attack.

Editorial Perspective

The very fact that someone would dare to attack a Police vehicle in this manner indicates that offenders no longer fear the Police. When will the Police administration restore and uphold its authority and credibility?
