Gain Control over 70% of Gaza Strip– Netanyahu Orders the Military

Tel Aviv (Israel) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the Israeli military to gain control over 70% of the Gaza Strip. Speaking at an event in the West Bank on 28 May, he said, “We are currently pressing Hamas hard. At present, we have control over 60% of the Gaza Strip. Earlier it was 50%, then it reached 60%. I have ordered that this be increased…” By then, someone from the crowd shouted, “100%!” Netanyahu responded, “Let us proceed step by step. First, let us reach 70%.”

This order issued to the Israeli military is being viewed as contrary to the terms of the ceasefire agreement signed in October 2025. Under the agreement, Israeli forces were required to withdraw behind a designated “Yellow Line.” Beyond that line, approximately 53% of the Gaza Strip was under Israeli control. Hamas has alleged that Israel is gradually pushing this boundary further inward. According to several reports, Israel currently controls approximately 60–64% of the Gaza Strip.

2.2 Million People May Be Forced to Live in One-Third of Gaza!

Large parts of Gaza have been devastated by war, bombings, and displacement. If Israel gains control over 70% of the territory, approximately 2.2 million people in Gaza may be forced to live within less than one-third of the total land area. (If Israel were to gain 100% control of the Gaza Strip, the 2.2 million Muslims living there would have no option except to jump into the sea.
