India Strengthens Defence Cooperation with Cyprus, Greece, and Armenia – Three Neighbours of Turkey

  • India Geopolitically Encircle Tukey, a Supporter of Pakistan!

  • Turkey had supplied drones and military personnel to Pakistan during ‘Operation Sindoor.’

India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar

Istanbul (Turkey)/ New Delhi – Due to its continued support for Pakistan, Turkey has for many years been India’s strategic adversary. Turkey that always supports Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir issue in forums such as the United Nations, had supplied drones and military officers with technical expertise to Pakistan for use against India during ‘Operation Sindoor’. Now, India has begun building a strategic ring around Turkey by supporting countries that are hostile to it. India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar has recently visited Cyprus. Cyprus has requested for Indian air-defence systems along with the BrahMos missile system. On the other hand, India has also expanded defence cooperation with Greece and Armenia, Turkey’s other neighbouring countries.

1. India will send defence equipment to Greece. Greece has also expressed interest in purchasing the BrahMos missile system.

2. On 28 May, during its Republic Day parade, Armenia showcased several weapons and defence systems acquired from India. These included the ‘Pinaka Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher’, ‘Akash-1S’, ‘howitzer’ and the ‘Swathi Radar System’.

In the Armenian military parade, the ‘Made in India’ Pinaka MBRL.

3. Considering all this, some Turkish experts are advising Turkey to attack Greece before the threat grows further. (Does India not have experts like those in Turkey? Why don’t they advise India to act against Pakistan before Pakistan-backed terrorists carry out attacks? – Editor)
