The US has withdrawn the award placed on Al-Qaeda terrorists in Bangladesh

Claim by Bangladeshi Journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury

Bangladeshi journalist Sallauddin Shoaib Chowdhury and terrorist Syed Ziaul Haq Zia

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, a Bangladeshi journalist, has claimed via a post on ‘X’ that the US has withdrawn the bounty of 5 million USD (approximately Rs 41.5 crore) that was placed on Syed Ziaul Haq Zia, a dismissed major from the Bangladeshi army and the leader of the jihadist organisation ‘Ansar al-Islam’ — the local chapter of Al-Qaeda. Zia is accused of the murder of American citizen Avijit Roy and of seriously injuring his wife, Rafida Bonya.

Choudhury stated that in recent months, Al-Qaeda terrorists and other Islamic extremists have intensified their activities in Bangladesh. Just last week, the notorious terrorist Ziaul Haq Zia — who is listed as a fugitive by the U.S. State Department — openly called for the establishment of offices in Bangladesh to support insurgent movements in Manipur, Khalistan, and Kashmir. It is believed that following the jihadist-backed military mutiny last year, Zia secretly returned to Bangladesh.

Editorial Perspective

Looking at the series of events in Bangladesh over the past year, it was already evident that the US was involved. Now, through this attempt to shield a terrorist, it is clear that the US is indeed behind this !
