Siddharthnagar (Uttar Pradesh) – A case of forced religious conversions has surfaced in Itwa tehsil of Siddharthnagar district, where employment offers were being used as a trap. Police have arrested Mohammad Shabbir Ahmed, manager of Al Farooq Inter College, in connection with the case. (The fact that Mohammad Shabbir Ahmed, holding a high post as a college manager, was involved in a Hindu conversion racket makes one thing clear – for such individuals, being a Muslim comes first and being a manager or teacher comes second. – Editor)
1. Akhand Pratap Singh, a resident of Siddharthnagar district, lodged a complaint with Police against Ahmed.
2. Ahmed had initially promised Singh a job. Later, Ahmed called Singh to his office and began pressuring him to convert to Islam.
3. When Singh refused, Ahmed arranged a conversation with a cleric from abroad, offering Singh ₹20 lakh if he embraced Islam.

4. Being a millionaire and an influential figure, Ahmed initially intimidated Singh into silence. However, after the arrest of Chhangur Pir, the ringleader of a Hindu conversion gang, Singh gained confidence and came forward to reveal the truth to the media.
5. Itwa Police have arrested Shabbir Ahmed and sent him to jail. Police officer Anil Ojha stated that Ahmed’s links with Chhangur Pir are also under investigation.
Editorial PerspectiveDespite Uttar Pradesh having an anti-conversion law, fanatic Muslims there continue to brazenly convert Hindus, showing how emboldened they have become. Strict action is essential to stop this menace. |
