Christian teacher forcibly wiped off the ‘tilak’ from the forehead of a Hindu student !

  • Insult to Hindu dharma at Don Bosco School in Assam !

  • Threatened him with assault if he applied it again

Don Bosco School in Sirajuli

Tezpur (Assam) – On June 23rd , at Don Bosco School in Sirajuli, Sonitpur district, a Christian teacher allegedly forcibly wiped off the tilak from the forehead of a Hindu student and threatened to beat him if he came back with it again. Upon returning home, the distressed student informed his parents about the incident. The parents then went to the school and lodged a complaint with the principal. They also informed the principal that their child had become extremely anxious due to the teacher’s threats. The principal assured them that such an incident would not happen again.

However, on the following day, June 24th , the accused teacher, Rini Rose, allegedly repeated the same act, once again wiping off the tilak from the boy’s forehead and threatening him. (Because Hindus are tolerant, anyone feels emboldened to insult Hinduism. To put an end to this, Hindus must now unite and assert their dignity – Editor)

1. Police complaint filed by student’s uncle

The student’s uncle, Avadh Kishore Verma, filed a complaint at the Dhekiajuli Police Station, stating that this is not just a case of hurting religious sentiments, but a violation of the fundamental right to religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution. “This is an act of religious discrimination and a deliberate insult to the Hindu faith,” Verma wrote in the complaint.

2. Past incident of religious bias

Avadh Kishore Verma also revealed that just a few days earlier, staff at the same Catholic school had forcibly removed a Tulsi mala from the neck of a Hindu girl student.

3. Police investigation underway

When the police visited Don Bosco School after the complaint, the accused teacher, Rini Rose, was absent. The police investigation is ongoing.

Editorial Perspective

Yet another example of anti-Hindu actions in Christian-run schools ! Hindu parents must now seriously consider whether they should send their children to such institutions.
