Indians’ money in Swiss banks increased 3 times in a year

No black money

New Delhi – The Central Bank of Switzerland has informed that the money of Indians in Swiss banks increased three times in the year 2024. In the year 2024, the total amount of Indians was 3.54 billion Swiss francs (₹37,600 crore). In the year 2023, this amount was 1.04 billion Swiss francs.

According to sources, these are official figures provided by the Swiss National Bank and are not black money, nor does it prove that Indians, non-resident Indians or other individuals have deposited money in Swiss banks in the name of third-country institutions.

According to data provided by the Swiss National Bank, the amount of money directly deposited by Indian customers in Swiss banks increased by only 11 percent in 2024 to 346 million Swiss francs, or ₹36,750 crore. This figure is just one-tenth of the total deposits, which is ₹37,600 crore.
