
Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – An Army jawan was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district along with 70 AK-47 cartridges, which he was planning to sell. The soldier, originally from Meerut, is currently posted in Maharashtra. The Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested him from Pallavpuram area. The accused tried to escape.But the police team surrounded him and nabbed him.
According to the police, the soldier, identified as Rahul Kumar is a resident of Nangli Azad village. He had come home on leave on June 9, 2025, and his suspicious activities put him on the radar of the Anti-Terrorism Squad and he was arrested when he went out to sell AK-47 cartridges.
