Sehore (Madhya Pradesh) : Hindu college girl raped by Zubair and Shoaib

Hafeez Arif, residing in a mosque, pressured her to convert to Islam; all three arrested

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh) – A Hindu college girl was raped by Zubair and Shoaib in Sehore. Hafeez Arif, who lives in a nearby mosque, forbade her from visiting temples and pressured her to recite the Kalma and convert to Islam. He even issued death threats to her and her family. Following the complaint, all three were arrested by the Police on 18 June. The victim is a resident of Sehore and is pursuing a BA degree at a college in Bhopal.

As per the victim’s Police complaint :

1. In 2022, she befriended Zubair Mansuri. He later began threatening her and raped her multiple times at his residence.

2. One day, Zubair’s brother Shoaib saw them together and threatened to circulate obscene photos of her. Using that as leverage, he too raped her.

3. In 2024, Zubair introduced her to Hafeez Arif, who resides in a mosque. Arif pressured her not to visit temples and to convert by reciting the Kalma.

4. Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and the Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Act, 2021, and arrested all three accused.

Incidents of ‘Love Jihad’ repeatedly reveal that these religious fanatics are both religiously and sexually driven. Their fearlessness stems from the ideological indoctrination they receive. The Madhya Pradesh Government must now enforce a complete ban on all madarasas that propagate such teachings.
