Cow Slaughter near Shiva Temple in Hindu-Majority Badarpur (Assam) during Bakri Eid

Five Muslims Arrested

Shri Bhumi (Assam) – In Badarpur, a locality in Shri Bhumi district, cows were slaughtered during Bakri Eid near a Shiva temple close to the villages of Davrel and South Bhanga Makhala. This has caused outrage among local Hindus. Only three Muslim families reside in this area. The Hindu community has demanded strict action against the Muslims responsible. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene and arrested Jihab Uddin, Zias Uddin, Nazarul Islam, Fakhrul Islam, and Husain Ahmed Barbuya.
