On seeing vigilance officials, the officer threw bundles of cash out the window

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) – Vigilance department officials raided seven locations linked to Vaikunthanath Sarangi, Chief Engineer in the Odisha government’s Rural Development Department, and seized over ₹2 crore in unaccounted cash. The raids also uncovered gold jewelry worth several lakhs and expensive clothing.
When the officials arrived, Sarangi reportedly began throwing bundles of ₹500 notes out of a window at his residence. These bundles were also seized by the authorities.
