From now on, the Pakistani government and terrorist leaders will not be seen as separate entities!
New Delhi – Operation Sindoor is a reflection of India’s policy against terrorism. This action has established a new beacon. Any attack on India will receive a fitting and decisive response. And that response will be on our terms. We will strike at the root of terrorism — at its source.
India will not tolerate nuclear threats. We will launch precise and decisive strikes on terrorism that hides behind such threats. The distinction between the Pakistani government and terrorist leaders will no longer be acknowledged. With these strong words, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning to Pakistan during his address to the nation at 8 PM on May 12.
He said, “Operation Sindoor was a resolute pledge for justice that the whole world witnessed. We have exacted the price for smearing our sindoor (symbolic of the dignity of Indian women).”
Key Points Made by the Prime Minister:
- Terrorism nurtured by Pakistan’s army and government will eventually destroy Pakistan itself. If Pakistan wants to survive, it must dismantle its terrorist infrastructure. There is no path to peace other than this.
- India’s position is clear – terrorism and dialogue cannot coexist. Terrorism and trade cannot go hand-in-hand. Blood and water cannot flow together.
- If any discussions now happen with Pakistan, they will only be about terrorism – and about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Our brave soldiers went above and beyond in achieving success in Operation Sindoor. This valor is dedicated to our mothers, sisters, and daughters. Operation Sindoor is not just a name — it represents the sentiments of 1.4 billion Indians. - We struck terrorist bases. Places like Bahawalpur and Muridke, which served as global universities of terrorism, were targeted. These locations have been linked at various times to major attacks around the world, including 9/11.
- These terror hubs had robbed Indian women of their dignity — hence we destroyed them. We eliminated over 100 terrorists. We killed top terrorist leaders who had been roaming openly in Pakistan.
- Pakistan was left frustrated and demoralized by this operation. Instead of supporting India’s anti-terror action, an enraged Pakistan dared to attack India. It targeted homes, temples, gurdwaras, schools, and army bases — exposing its true face to the world once again.
- Pakistan’s drones and missiles proved ineffective against India. India struck deep into Pakistan’s heart. Our drones and missiles carried out precise strikes and destroyed airbases that Pakistan took pride in. Pakistan was brought to its knees within just three days.
- India’s aggressive stance forced Pakistan to start seeking a way out. It began pleading before the world. On the afternoon of May 10, after taking heavy losses, Pakistan’s military reached out to our officers. By then, we had already destroyed a large number of terrorist camps and killed many terrorists.
- Subsequently, Pakistan pleaded that it would not engage in any more terrorist or military action. India considered this request and decided only to suspend its operation — not end it. Our future actions will depend on Pakistan’s conduct in the coming days.
- This war proved the reliability of indigenous weaponry. The time has come to fully embrace and rely on domestic arms production.
India can live peacefully. To fulfill the dream of a developed India, it must be powerful — and must use that power as needed. In the past few days, we have done just that.
Proof of State-Sponsored Terrorism by PakistanThe Prime Minister said the world has now seen the true face of Pakistan through this operation. Pakistani military officers were present at the funerals of the terrorists killed during the operation — a clear indication that terrorism in Pakistan is state-sponsored. |
