Pakistan violates the ceasefire

New Delhi – As the war-like situation between India and Pakistan escalated since the night of May 6, both countries have agreed to a ceasefire following mediation by the United States. Vikram Misri, Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs, officially shared this information during a press conference on behalf of India. The ceasefire came into effect at 5 PM on May 10.
According to sources, India agreed to the ceasefire under certain conditions, though the specifics of these conditions have not been disclosed.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had shared an update on this matter via a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). Trump stated, “I am very pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both nations for demonstrating common sense and great wisdom.”
