The terrorist attack in Pahalgam will be remembered in Indian history for multiple reasons. It has accelerated India’s journey towards becoming more resolute. The Indian Government and Army will undoubtedly teach Pakistan a harsher lesson moving forward; however, the significant aspect is that this incident has stirred the Nation.
Awakened Hindus have become more enraged. The true nature of the terrorists has been further exposed. Even the Anglicized younger generation, typically detached from national concerns, has reacted to this attack. Unusual, but true – even film industry artists have expressed their condemnation this time.
The Prime Minister has said, “We will punish the terrorists beyond imagination”. Every patriot expects these words to be fulfilled. This incident has unveiled the unimaginable acts Pakistan has committed over the years in its covert war against India. Following the closure of the Wagah-Attari border between India and Pakistan, many truths are emerging. After the order for Pakistani citizens to leave India, 537 Pakistanis have left, and 850 Indians who had gone to Pakistan have returned. The deadline of 29th April has now passed. News reports show that some Pakistanis, who had come to visit relatives or for medical treatment, are saddened by the sudden turn of events; however, none of them are seen condemning the terrorist attack that necessitated this action.
A haven not just for Bangladeshis, but for Pakistanis as well !
Reports indicate that over 5,00,000 Pakistani citizens reside in India. The Intelligence Bureau has provided a list. One can only imagine how many Pakistanis illegally staying in India are not on this list. Thus, it becomes evident that India has become an all-inclusive haven not just for Bangladeshis, but for Pakistanis as well. In 2007, out of 32 people who came to watch cricket matches, 28 remained in India; they had entered on visas that allowed them to travel across Districts.
India-Pakistan Roti-Beti (Food-Daughter) relations : A gross misuse
BJP leader Shashikant Dubey revealed that over 5,00,000 women with Pakistani maternal homes and married to Indian men, are residing in India. He emphasized the need to investigate the intentions behind Indian men marrying these women. In Ratnagiri (in Maharashtra), 3 such women were found, and 6 in Nashik (in Maharashtra). Reports also indicate that many Indian /Muslim women who have their in-laws in Pakistan are residing in India. This came to light after the order for Pakistanis residing in India to return. Some marriages between Pakistani men and local women were deceitful, while others were consensual. There is a significant number of Muslim women who have Pakistani husbands, particularly in border areas such as Punjab. These women and their children reside in India, while the husbands remain in Pakistan. Such accounts are circulating on social media. Even discounting exaggerations, the underlying facts cannot be ignored.
While the Seema Haider case was still under discussion, another Pakistani woman named Maria married an Indian man from Punjab through Facebook dating and came to India. She intends to give birth to her child here to obtain Indian citizenship. Now she has disappeared following the order for Pakistanis to leave India. This indicates extensive marital relations between Muslims in Pakistan and India. Pakistani citizenship has not been granted to Indian women who married Pakistanis; however, some children born there have been granted citizenship. News channels are interviewing such women, potentially garnering sympathy. Overall, this reveals the extensive roti-beti relations between India and its primary enemy Nation.
Having such widespread relations with an enemy country is akin to offering the enemy unrestricted access. Dubey questioned, “Are there no boys or girls in this country to marry ?” This phenomenon is also termed ‘Population Jihad’. If these numbers truly reach thousands, suspicions would be justified.
In all terrorist attacks so far, evidence has shown involvement of local people from India. With such extensive connections to an enemy Nation and frequent cross-border movements, one can imagine the number of sleeper cells that might emerge. Since Indian / Muslim women who have Pakistani husbands are found across India, it cannot be ruled out that terrorists have received significant assistance through Pakistani men / women.
A challenge before India
Not all Pakistanis residing in India are terrorists; however, when many live here without proper identity cards or visas, suspicions of them being local sleeper cells aiding terrorists increase.
During the Congress regime, Bangladeshi infiltrators were settled in India. Now, the Government struggles to act against them.
Despite numerous operations, their influx doesn’t cease. This underscores the gravity of the issue. Now, the large presence of Pakistani citizens has come to light. If any among them are connected to terrorist activities, identifying and punishing them is equally essential.
Overall, it becomes evident that India’s all-inclusiveness has been exploited by the enemy without the Nation’s awareness. Identifying and expelling the illegal citizens still residing in India will undoubtedly be a significant challenge for the Government !
