Benefit of the simple remedy of making a Namajapamandal to eliminate obstacles seekers face in their spiritual practice or distress they experience

Namajapamandal
Sadguru (Dr) Mukul Gadgil

Benefit is due to the spiritual practice Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale gets performed from seekers !

When seekers face an obstacle in sadhana (Spiritual practice) or suffer from distress, they make a Namajapamandal (Protective border) of Shrikrushna’s Name on a blank white sheet of paper. In this mandalthere is a border of the Namajapall Om NamoBhagawateVasudevayall (see the picture ahead); seekers write their obstacles or distress they are facing within this border, along with a prayer for its removal.

Additionally, the seeker may write about a possible future distress in the mandal and pray to Shrikrushna – ‘May this distress not occur and may a protective sheath of Your Namajapa get formed around me’. It is observed that this remedy brings about immediate effects, and the intensity of the distress reduces approximately by 50%.

One small example of this is – Once, 8-10 seekers were travelling to Goa by train during the monsoons. Their train stopped for 2-3 hours between Ratnagiri and Chiplun stations in Maharashtra, and the cause was unknown. I suggested the remedy of making a Namajapamandal to the seekers. Their train started within just 2-3 minutes of performing this remedy.

I was wondering how seekers benefit so much from this simple remedy. When I contemplated on this, I realised that most seekers have been performing sadhana according to Gurukrupayoga under the guidance of SachchidanandaParabrahman (Dr) Athavale for the past 15 to 20 years. As per His guidance, they are performing samashtisadhana appropriate for the present times and as expected by God – sadhana that makes society spiritually pure.

Due to the many years of penance (or spiritual practice), their speech and writing have got enriched with Chaitanya (Divine consciousness). Consequently, the Namajapa of a Deity written by them invokes the presence of that Deity, making the chant effective and beneficial for the seeker.

Seekers are also having this spiritual experience during actual chanting. Therefore, the Namajapa they do – whether of the Panchatattva (5 Cosmic Principles), Superior Deities, or of the Nirgun (Unmanifest) level, or Namajapas such as Shunya, Mahashunya, Nirgun, and Om – it seems as though they have attained spiritual strength.

No amount of gratitude would be enough unto SachchidanandaParabrahman (Dr) Athavale for guiding seekers to perform sadhana that begets the blessings of the Deities.

Note :

The physical aspects of an individual are the five sense organs – the nose, ears, eyes, tongue and skin. These five senses, beyond the mind and intellect, are ‘subtle’. These ‘subtle’ sensations are felt by some people who have advanced in their spiritual practice. ‘Subtle’ is that which is beyond the comprehension of the five sense organs, mind and intellect. Various Scriptures contain references to subtle knowledge.

Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in SanatanPrabhat are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences.
