1. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s continuous awareness of His own thoughts and actions, and His immediate alignment of both with Righteousness
Just as Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale instructed seekers practising Gurukrupayoga to constantly observe their own faults and record them every two hours in their ‘mistake chart’, He Himself has maintained such observation every moment. If even 1% of a thought or action appears inappropriate, He recognises it instantly and corrects it without delay. This can be clearly understood from the following examples :
A. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s thought process regarding giving a shirt to a seeker for spiritual healing, and the right action that followed from it

“For years, seekers have experienced that when they use items I have used, such as clothes, bedsheets, pens, etc. they imbibe Chaitanya (Divine consciousness) through them. These items also serve as spiritual remedies for seekers affected by negative energies. This is why I give them my old used belongings.
Once, a seeker who was severely afflicted by negative energies had to travel out of town and needed one of my shirts or trousers for spiritual protection. At that time, I didn’t have an old shirt to give because I had already distributed what I had. My nature of frugality made me momentarily think, ‘Perhaps I could give something else today’.
At that very moment, I was reminded of Draupadi tearing her embroidered saree to bandage Shri Krishna’s bleeding finger. I felt ashamed of myself. That’s when I decided to give the seeker one of my new shirts I was currently using.”

B. The evolving perspective of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale regarding the mistakes of others
1. Till the year 1999 : “If someone made a mistake, I would get angry. Depending on the gravity of the mistake, I would scold or raise my voice at the seeker.”
2. From the year 2000 to 2009 : “If someone’s mistake caused harm to me personally, I would get a little angry; but if it caused harm to the samashti (Collective spiritual mission), I would get more angry. At that time too, I would scold or raise my voice at the seeker depending on the seriousness of the mistake.”
3. In the year 2010 : “On 25.6.2010, a message arrived from Miraj which mentioned that – ‘Ten to fifteen pages of handwritten notes sent for typing the book on Bhaktiyoga have been lost.’ I was surprised at myself because I felt absolutely nothing despite realising, ‘If samashti does not get to read the contents of these pages, it will amount to a loss for the samashti.’ Upon reflecting on why I did not get angry, I realised the reason was – Perhaps God did not want that contents be published in the book; that’s why these were lost.’
I often explain to others what are Divine wish, observer attitude, and destiny. On that day, I could put these into practice myself, and this made me feel good. Then on 2.7.2010, another message came from Miraj stating, ‘The lost handwritten notes have been found.’ That’s when I understood that God was testing me to see how would I respond in such a situation.”
– Dr Jayant Athavale (26.6.2010)
These two examples illustrate that even after reaching the level of a Paratpar Guru, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale remained constantly alert about His own thoughts and actions; hence, His thoughts and conduct are always ideal.
2. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s habit of recording even minor events with dates
Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale has documented every significant event, thought, transformation in the thought, key action points, and spiritual experiences in His life with corresponding dates and lunar tithis. No other Incarnation, Saint, or Sadguru is known to have maintained such detailed documentation.
3. Dissolution of the likes-dislikes centre in Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale’s subconscious mind
At the spiritual level of 95%, and while functioning as a Paratpar Guru, the process of attaining Moksha (Final Liberation) involves permanent erasure of impressions from the mind one by one. Curious about this, I asked Guruvarya (Sachchidananda Parabrahman) on a phone call dated 18.9.2013 – “How many of Your food preferences still remain ?”
At that time, He replied, “Now, there is no desire such as ‘Let me eat Shrikhand’, which I used to enjoy earlier, because the constant state of Bliss makes the joy of any preferred item seem insignificant. The level of happiness is the same in whatever food I receive. However, I still dislike spicy food, and as always since childhood, I continue to find the cream that forms on top of milk quite unappealing.”
From this example we understand that the impressions of food items one liked during childhood are erased first; however, impressions related to disliked foods do not get erased as quickly. Moreover, items that may cause distess to the body continue to be disliked by the body till the very end; for example, spicy food. The process of maintaining the physical health continues till the end due to praneshana (Survival instinct), not due to likes. These impressions are not created, so to say.
Perceiving that the writings of Sadguru (Dr) Vasant Athavale on the attributes of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale are Divine Knowledge
While compiling the writings of Sadguru (Dr) Vasant Athavale about the unique attributes of Paratpar Guru (Dr) Jayant Athavale, I felt that the writing is indeed knowledge received from God. Due to His inquisitive nature, the yearning for knowledge, and deep devotional love for Paratpar Guru (Dr) Athavale, God has bestowed this knowledge upon Sadguru (Dr) Vasant Athavale; hence, His analysis is not intellectual but Divine”. – Ms Deepali Honap, Sanatan Ashram, Ramnathi, Goa. |
(Note : When this writing was compiled, Sachchidananda Parabrahman was a ‘Paratpar Guru’.)

Note :
The physical aspects of an individual are the five sense organs – the nose, ears, eyes, tongue and skin. These five senses, beyond the mind and intellect, are ‘subtle’. These ‘subtle’ sensations are felt by some people who have advanced in their spiritual practice. ‘Subtle’ is that which is beyond the comprehension of the five sense organs, mind and intellect. Various Scriptures contain references to subtle knowledge. Individual spiritual experiences of seekers published in SanatanPrabhat are according to the Principle – ‘Where there is bhav (Spiritual emotion), there is God’. It is not that every individual will have similar experiences. |
