Reap the fruits of Akshayya dan by donating on Akshayya Trutiya through Satpatre danam (Donation to the deserving)

This year, Akshayya Trutiya is on 30^th April 2025. It is one of the three and a half auspicious muhurts (Auspicious times) in Hindu Dharma. Donations and havans (Ritual of sacrificial fires) performed on this day do not perish, meaning, they definitely bear fruit. Hence, many people do a lot of charity work on this day.

1. Importance of Satpatre danam 

Hindu Dharma says that Satpatre danam, meaning, donation to the deserving, is the supreme duty of every human being. Satpatre danam effectively means giving for the cause of Sat (Absolute Truth). Any donation adds to the merits of the donor; whereas, Satpatre danam also imparts spiritual benefits. On Akshayya Trutiya, Satpatre danam can be done in the manner mentioned ahead.

2. Types of donations

A. Money : Presently, the world is witnessing the phase of lassitude in Dharma. Lack of education on Dharma has not only made the Hindu society immoral, but has also destroyed their pride in Dharma.

Since Dharma is in such a dire state, as per the significance of times, it has become absolutely necessary to reinstate Dharma. Therefore, donating to Saints who have taken up the mission of spreading Dharma, as well as to organisations or institutions that work to protect the Nation and Dharma, is the supreme donation.

Sanatan Sanstha has taken up the mission of bringing about an awakening on Dharma in the people. The donations to such organisations or institutions will be used only for reinstating Dharma.
