RSS expresses concern
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) –The Hindu families have been migrating away from several colonies in Bhopal, such as Sindhi Colony, in addition to Muslim-majority areas like Kohefiza and Shahjahanabad in old Bhopal, since long time. Now, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has started working on this issue.
1. The RSS has learnt from internal information that the highest migration has been happening in Kohefiza for the last several years. This issue had come up in the news 2 years ago too, when BJP MLA from Bhopal, Rameshwar Sharma, wrote a letter to the District administration demanding an inquiry into the purchase and sale of land and houses in the colony.
2. The MLAs had informed that a large number of Maheshwari, Brahmin, Jain and Sindhi families have migrated from Kohefiza. This colony of 5 thousand houses used to have 80% Hindu families, now only 40% remain. They have settled in Lalghat or other nearby areas.
3. Ashok Pandey, RSS’ provincial leader of Central India, said that the RSS volunteers visit such colonies and explain to the people that it is not right to be afraid of any unexpected fear in the future. Hindus do not need to migrate, and they do not need to fear anyone. All Hindus are standing in support of them and the RSS is also supporting them.
4. The RSS had conducted a survey on various issues, in which, 103 types of issues like Love Jihad, lack of religious awareness, lack of value education, uncleanness, migration of Hindu families, etc. came to light. Of these, the migration of Hindus from Bhopal is the most serious issue. This point was presented at the meeting of the All India Representative Council of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh held in Bengaluru.
Editorial PerspectiveHindus do not expect such a situation in a State ruled by the BJP for almost 20 years. This needs to be looked into seriously. |
