A spiritual analysis of the incident of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s severe physical suffering before death due to Mughal enemies

The Hindi film ‘Chhava’, which is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has been released recently. After watching it, some people have following questions in their mind – ‘Why did Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj have to endure severe physical torture in his final days? What spiritual benefit did he get from this ? Why did he not get God’s help to escape from the clutches of the enemy ?’ By the grace of God, I have gained knowledge about this incident from subtle dimension, which I am sharing below.

The spiritual reason why Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj had to suffer severe physical torture in the clutches of the enemy

The destiny of a kingdom is created by the good or bad actions done by its people. If the people move away from spiritual practices and Dharma, the king of that kingdom has to bear some of their sins, i.e. collective (samashti) negative destiny. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s severe physical suffering in his final days was for the sake of Swarajya and Dharma. It was his collective destiny.

Spiritual benefits to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj due to his sacrifice for Dharma

Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s spiritual level was 51% before he was captured by the enemy. After being captured by the enemy, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj endured a lot of physical torture from the enemy for many days. He had made this sacrifice for ‘Swarajya and Dharma’. Due to this sacrifice, he progressed spiritually within a few days and his spiritual level reached 59% before his death. (A seeker’s spiritual level increases by an average of 1-2% in a year). After his death, he attained sadgati (moved to higher positive lokas).

Divine support is necessary to work for the nation and Dharma

While working for the nation and Dharma, many obstacles at a gross and subtle level arise. To overcome those, the seeker needs his own spiritual practice and the Divine support of a Guru. It helps a seeker to safely work for the nation and Dharma and achieve success in it.
