Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) – In Saidpur village here, Muslims attacked a Hindu wedding procession. Some people were injured in this. They have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. There is a tense atmosphere in the village due to this incident. A large Police force has been deployed in the village.
A woodpile owned by a Muslim caught fire due to the crackers burst during the procession. This led to an argument and subsequent fight between the Muslims and the people participating in the procession. The Muslims chased the Hindus and beat them up with sticks. Amit, who had come as a guest for the wedding, was dragged from his house by the Muslims and assaulted brutally. On receiving information about the violence, the Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. 12 people were injured in the attack. Villagers informed that 30 to 40 people were involved in the attack. The Police have registered a case against 14 Muslims and 50 unidentified persons. The Police are searching for them.
Superintendent of Police Aditya Bansal also visited the spot and said that strict action will be taken considering the seriousness of the matter. No one will be spared. The people of the village should maintain peace.
