Terrorist group Babbar Khalsa supported by Pak, operating in Punjab, busted

Chandigarh – In a major operation at Batala, Gurdaspur Dist. the Punjab Police killed Mohit, the main accused in Jaintipur and Raimal bomb blast cases. During the late-night encounter on 27th February, shoot out ensued between the Police and Mohit. A Police officer was also injured. While investigating the bomb blast in Jaintipur on 15th January, followed by another bomb blast in Raimal on 17th February, the Police found out terror group ‘Babbar Khalsa International’, supported by Pak Intelligence Agency ISI. This group was headed by Pakistani terrorist Harvinder Rinda and US based terrorist Happy Pasia. Mohit was arrested from Batala and Vishal was arrested from Basarpura, as they operated for this terrorist group.
During interrogation by the Police, Mohit revealed that he had hidden arms and ammunition at a deserted place. While he was being taken there, he opened fire and tried to flee. In retaliation the Police fired, in which Mohit was injured . They took him to the hospital where he was declared dead.
Two more accused of the same bomb blast case have been identified, search is on to arrest these culprits, said Batala Police.
