Sambhal Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishna Kumar Bishnoi disclosed that after Sharikh Sata fled India, Gulam engaged in vehicle thefts, trading stolen vehicles for weapons, and selling them in northeastern states. Sharikh Sata had specifically ordered him to stop the survey of Jama Masjid and assassinate advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain before it could take place. On 24th November 2024, Gulam’s gang members suddenly opened fire on the police, leading to the deaths of five Muslims. Gulam maintained contact with Sharikh Sata using a mobile app and his wife’s phone number.
